
Antoinette Kirkwood was born in London in 1930. She served on the Executive Committee of the Composers Guild of Great Britain from 1969-1973). Her Symphony was broadcast by Radio Eireann and this work is very notable achievement, proving that she can write a memorable tune in a definite key and can hold the listeners interest for a considerable time.
